Anti-Kimkins Blogs of Note: Kimkins Exposed
January 16, 2008 on 3:39 pm | In Kimkins, Kimkins Criticism, Kimkins Fake Pictures, Heidi Diaz, Kimkins Diet | 1 CommentIf you discovered the Kimkins controversy recently and you are trying desperately to get your head around the whole thing, Kimkins Exposed should be one of your first stops. One of the most interesting twists in the Kimkins fraud was Heidi’s use of photographs from Russian Bride sites for her success story recreations. The author of Kimkins Exposed has a good compilation of the Russian Brides that have been discovered by many weary eyes.
This particular blog hasn’t been updated since last October. The point of many of the anti-kimkins blogs was to create engaging content that would stay on the front page of search queries for Kimkins. The author accomplished that mission. The nuts and bolts of information gathering related to Kimkins has taken place to a large extent on forums. The author of Kimkins Exposed is legendary in the realm of low carb forums.
Anti-Kimkins Blogs of Note: Kimkins Survivors
January 14, 2008 on 3:43 pm | In Blogging, Kimkins, Kimkins Criticism, Heidi Diaz | 1 CommentKimkins Survivors is a very tidy sort of ‘best of’ blog. Many posts feature former Kimkins dieters’ own words describing the bad experiences that they had.
One very long post from someone who was not only a member of Kimkins but also an affiliate for a short while is especially enlightening. It comes from a reasonable, sensible and honest seeming person who found herself in the Kimkins camp when the controversy was coming to a head. I was able to empathize with her impression that the conflict was a kind of flame war that was unwarranted and unproductive. I appreciate that she carefully examined the situation rather than becoming entrenched in a camp. I think Heidi took full advantage of the you’re either with us or against us tripe that is sold nationwide. I will be taking not of the notable blogs that are against her in a series of posts.
Revisiting the ‘New Ownership’ Ruse
January 11, 2008 on 8:42 pm | In Internet, Business, Kimkins Fraud, Heidi Diaz | 1 CommentI don’t have any inside information on the whole ‘Kimkins under new ownership’ statement that was floated around before the legal case got traction. It just popped into my head and I wondered to myself what the ramifications would have been if Heidi Diaz had sold the Kimkins business to another real live person.
I heard a sad story once about a European investor that bought a mine site unseen from a company that had closed it up many months or years before that. The buyer understood that it was all hooked up with lighting and ventilation and other equipment. Neither party were aware that a local petty criminal had used his truck and some delinquent helpers to pull all the electrical wiring out of the mine so he could sell it as scrap copper. It wasn’t a copper mine. It wasn’t a diet site either, so I don’t know why I’m talking about it. There must be a good ’shaft’ reference in here somewhere.
People Continue to Defend Heidi and Kimkins
January 11, 2008 on 6:46 pm | In Weight Loss, Internet, Media, Kimkins Experiences, Kimkins, Heidi Diaz, Kimkins Fraud, Kimkins Criticism, Kimmer | 1 CommentYouTube commentary is truly the lowest form of discourse. The anonymity encourages people to throw all semblance of civility out the window. Lying and outright outrageousness are pastimes for many users. But I digress… what I really wanted to post about was the fact that someone chose to post a comment on the YouTube version of the Heidi Diaz surveillance video this week. It is not a smart ass kid or a petty jokester, someone wanted to express their outrage about the exposure and defend the diet against its detractors. I will quote it in its entirety:
People should be ashamed of themselves. Invading someone’s privacy because the diet failed for you or caused a side effect. NEWSFLASH, all diets cause side effects, some minimal and others more extreme. No one held a gun to your head and forced you to join the kimkins site or to even do the diet. This diet works wonders for people who are SEVERLY obese, not people who need to lose 10 pounds to fit into their party dress for the weekend.
I think that this 25 year old American Girl with the really pretty name and no videos or favorites might even be Kimmer.
The Science of Wearing Red
January 3, 2008 on 1:04 pm | In Marketing, Internet, Fashion, Heidi Diaz | 3 CommentsHard science has demonstrated that wearing red is consistently associated with a higher probability of winning in sporting events. Seeing a lot of red makes our hearts beat faster and according to at least one source, wearing red makes us appear heavier. Used in moderation, like say one medium sized image on a website landing page, red can be very eye-catching.
Astrology is not a real science, but I am going to include a short quote from an astrology site about people who like red. It is for entertainment purposes only:
A person who likes red can express many personality traits. The positive ones being passion, energy, and money making. The darker manifestations of those who favor reddish-brown colors can be addictions such as drugs, alcohol, eating disorders or emotional instability.
Less Weight Loss to Watch on Kimkins
December 15, 2007 on 3:46 pm | In Kimkins Affiliates, Weight Loss, Kimkins Staff, Kimkins Experiences, Kimkins Celebrities, Kimkins, Heidi Diaz | 1 CommentIt turns out that two individuals whose weight loss was being chronicled on the landing page of Kimkins.com had been recruited by Jeannie. Jeannie aka Tippy Toes is no longer on staff at Kimkins and these individuals asked to have their pictures removed from the homepage. I have heard that they were banned shortly after. Their pictures and statistics reflected typical weight loss for a low carb diet. The removal of these pictures leaves only Heidi Diaz and Singing Lass on the watch us lose graphic. This table promises real time weekly updates. These have not been forthcoming from Singing Lass.

A Review of Diets in Review’s Review of Kimkins
December 7, 2007 on 10:31 pm | In Kimkins Diet Review, Kimkins Staff, Weight Loss, Health, Kimkins, Kimkins Criticism, Kimmer, Heidi Diaz, Kimkins Fraud, Kimkins Fake Pictures, Kimkins Diet | No CommentsThe most dramatic part of that effort to bring the truth out about Kimkins is of course the seemingly unlikely finding of all those Russian Bride pictures. A less obvious but arguably more important effort involved getting the truth all over the first page of a Google search for Kimkins. When everyone was actively blogging as events unfolded and more facts came to light, the Kimkins website itself was just about the only site that was promoting Kimkins on that page. I knew better than to ever think Kimkins.com would lose its spot.
Right now, Diets In Review has the number two spot. It’s not often that you will see a blogger that is happy to have a site ranking higher than their own for a term, but I really am in this case. This is the review site that included a rebuttal from Tippy Toes as an addition to their review. This is a great read for people who are keeping up with current drama related to the woman. The succinct review was very accurate when it came out. The face/ass saving efforts in the interim have generally involved repeatedly tweaking the plan on a point by point basis in response to criticism. There is no plan at this point, and yet there is still a site at which you can pay $60 for the plan, although not with PayPal. I hope lots of people who are searching for an answer to a weight problem find the review first even though it is only number two on the search for Kimkins.
Affiliate Programs Run on Money
December 3, 2007 on 8:00 am | In Kimkins Affiliates, Kimkins Fraud, Heidi Diaz, Kimmer | No Comments
Many of the affiliates that had names and faces have either walked away from Kimkins, or run away as the fraud was being brought to light. Some affiliates are hardcore anything for money types and they will stay until the money runs dry. I think it has run dry.
The pages that these people built to draw people to Kimkins will probably remain on the internet for some time. The people who couldn’t be bothered with ethics aren’t going to bother going to the trouble of pulling up their traps. If the sites have good search engine placement, you might see new ads from other diet sites showing up on these Kimkins affiliate sites.
Who Is Kimmer?
November 26, 2007 on 10:04 pm | In Who Is Kimmer, Kimkins Fake Pictures, Kimkins Fraud, Heidi Diaz, Kimmer, Kimkins Diet | 2 CommentsThe tech guys who work so tirelessly on Kimkins.com need to be a bit more thorough with their updating. A link called Who is Kimmer that appears under the main description of the site on the somewhat popular search engine called Google leads to this:
Click on the image to see it full size. I am worried about how people are still being misled by the lady in the red dress. Kimmer AKA Heidi Diaz did NOT lose 198 lbs.
There are no links to these fraudulent pages on the homepage of Kimkins.com, but they still show up in searches. The responsible thing for the webmaster would have been to delete the pages completely.
When is a Review Not a Review?
November 19, 2007 on 8:50 pm | In Kimkins Affiliates, Kimkins Diet Review, Kimkins Fake Pictures, Kimkins Fraud, Heidi Diaz | No CommentsWhen it’s Kimkins Review. A die hard but faceless affiliate of Kimkins updated his/her website on the 15th of November with some vague gobbledygook. This was obviously done to get the false claim comfortably below the jump on the landing page.
Yes, Kimkins Review still trumpets the false claim that Kimmer lost 198 pounds in 11 months. This lie was posted on September 18th and as of today it is still on the site. Whoever is responsible for this must still be getting checks in the mail. Maybe someone should slip a REALITY CHECK into the next envelope.
