ISP stand for Internet Service Provider. I can vividly remember the days when I had a choice between the phone company and, well, nothing. Now you can get high speed broadband connections from your cable company and DSL from several different providers. The combination of competition and technological advancements has been very good to us. Satellite Internet is quickly becoming a viable option for many consumers as well.
