Thanks for the comment. I tend to think of this blog as a jumping off point for anyone that wants to seek out the drama rather than a play-by-play of the drama. I sleep 8 hours a night, so I wouldn't be able to keep up with it anyway.

Hi!

I've been reading your posts on Kimkins lately - luckily, I didn't hear of the plan until after the criticisms of the plan had become widespread, and thus never got pulled into it, but I'm just completely gobsmacked by the bizarreness of it all!

At any rate, I didn't know if you'd seen a bit of follow up from early in January at the DietsInReview website: http://www.dietsinreview.com/diet_column/01/kimkins-follow-up/

Apparently, in October, Jeannie sent them a letter trying to dispute the review the site had given Kimkins, and then just about a month ago, they got a message from Kimmers claiming that Jeannie still supported and used the Kimkins plan, and had only left Kimkins to help "spread the word" with Jeannie's "Kimkins based-website." Kimmer also said that Jeannie had her "blessing and full support" for her Kimkins CTF Diet. Kimmer goes on to repeat her claim that Jeannie is a strong supporter of Kimkins and then gushes about how wonderful Jeannie is and how valuable she's been to Kimkins and it's users, before claiming that Jeannie is "a fine testament of the proof that the Kimkins Diet is working miracles for thousand of obese men and woman every day."

Jeannie then responds in the comment section, first saying that she doesn't believe that Kimmer actually wrote the note that DietsInReview received, and states that she is no longer affiliated with Kimkins, Kimmer or Heidi Diaz in any way (along with a whole bunch of other stuff, but that's the most important part.)

Two days later, Jeannie is back, saying that she has since decided that she was wrong and Kimmer probably DID write the note, and that she has now sent Kimmer a cease and desist order telling her to remove any pictures or success stories, etc., featuring Jeannie. She also says flat out that she left Kimkins to avoid being caught up in the law suit and has been given immunity as she is cooperating with the suing attorney.

Anyway, I looked through your January posts and didn't see this mentioned, so I thought I'd pass it on - thought you and your readers might be interested if you/they hadn't already heard about it.
