Finding Good Used Cars

January 28, 2008 on 8:31 pm | In Life |

I am going to get some accidental Google traffic from talking about used cars on a blog with the word SCAM in the header. I think that the majority of middle aged people who drive can name at least one automobile purchase where they feel that they got ripped off. My lesson was learned with an 80s Chrysler Reliant. The used car salesman had been a little too eager to take my first counter offer. It was a cheap lesson, at least I didn’t have to worry about car loans until my third car.

If I lived in the UK, I would definitely consider using NetCars.co.uk to sell my car. It’s also a great site to search through if you want to buy a car. After you make your initial search query, you can sort the results by price, by mileage or by model year. I would suggest that you do some third party research on the type of car that you are looking for to start with and then look at the cars that are within the price range that you would expect. Also, if the mileage sounds too good to be true, it might not be.

I’m happy to see that there is a burgeoning market for used Smart cars. Once the kids are out of the picture I want to get one of those babies.
