Can You Lose Weight Through Self Hypnosis?
January 10, 2008 on 2:46 pm | In Life, Exercise, Health, Weight Loss |I read a fascinating article the other day about a scientific experiment. Basically the scientists surveyed a large group of hotel maids to determine what their impressions were with regard to how much exercise was involved in their work. The impressions were surprisingly inaccurate.
Phase two involved studying a control group and a group that had been given an informational session related to their physical activity. They were told how many calories were burned by various tasks, what the effects were on their cardiovascular fitness, etc.
The experimenters eventually got a bunch of data and concluded that the maids who were more conscious about the exercise benefits actually were healthier. The mind is so powerful, it’s kinda freaky.
Using self hypnosis to help you make positive changes in your life is a bit similar to this effect. The website at http://www.instant-hypnosis.com sells downloads of some very specific hypnosis sessions. One that interested me was called Crave Healthy Foods. Some people respond very strongly to hypnotic suggestion and others don’t. Luckily, these downloads come with a money back guarantee.
