Kimkins is Selling Stuff

December 28, 2007 on 6:45 pm | In Money, Kimkins |

Do you want a BowFlex? How about a soup’n’salad storage unit? Impulse buyers should flock to the Kimkins blog, because she has tricked her blog out as an affiliate site for Amazon. I don’t fault her for it, and I have tried the Amazon aStore model myself. It has never paid me even a cent. I have never had a blog with traffic like Kimkins. Maybe she will make a bit of pocket money. I have a brother who owns a BowFlex and I though it was pretty cool.

  1. She’ll need pocket money to help pay her attorneys.

  2. Reverse affiliation is not good for any of these companies in the long run.

Just imaging, when someone realizes their Kimkins diet ruined them, and then they realize they bought their bowflex through Heidi’s affiliate link. She gets a cut of that money. She’s getting more than that initial $59.95. People don’t realize things like cookies (no not the sugar ones Kimmer eats) in your computer. Even when you don’t buy that bowflex today, she could get credit for you buying it a few days from now.

These companies need to know, by allowing Heidi to promote their products, they are also supporting the fraud.

Please let your favorite vendors know about the scam.
