Tyson Foods’ Charitable Donation of Quality Protein

December 21, 2007 on 3:40 pm | In Uncategorized |

$3 million and 49.1 million pounds of chicken, beef and pork products is nothing to sneeze at. That is how much cash and product has gone from Tyson Foods to more than 600 hunger-relief agencies nationwide since 2000. Donations of good quality high protein foods to food banks are a great idea. I have to confess that when I dropped a few items in the box at the supermarket in the past, they were very often high carb boxed items. That kind of personal donation has to be non-perishable, so the options are kind of limited. If anybody has a good idea for a non-perishable low carb item that would help food banks, please leave a comment. I know tuna and peanut butter would be appreciated.
