Kimkins Affiliate Spotlight: WLTips.com

Yesterday, we shone the spotlight on Kimkins affiliate TheSkinnyWebsite.com. The flood of comments the site received convinced the affiliate to investigate further, and she ended up removing all her Kimkins links once she realized that she had been unknowingly promoting a scam.

The next Kimkins affiliate we’re going to work on alerting to the Kimkins scam is WLTips.com. Last year they published an interview with Kimmer, complete with a Kimkins affiliate link on the page. It’s time to let WLTips.com know about the Kimkins scam! Drop them an email at lizza@wltips.com. Make sure to tell Lizza:

  • Kimkins marketing is fraudulent. Kimmer (Heidi Diaz) is morbidly obese (see the PI pictures at www.slamboard.com).  She is not the lady in the red dress and there is no reason to believe that she ever lost 198 pounds.
  • Kimkins and Heidi Diaz are facing a class action lawsuit and Heidi Diaz is being investigated for fraud.
  • The diet is dangerous and people are getting sick.
  • When the Kimkins assets are frozen, affiliates will not be paid their commissions.
  • Affiliates who knowingly participate in this fraudulent marketing may also be liable for damages.

It’s time for WLTips.com and all the other affiliates to stop helping the scammer Heidi Diaz rip off innocent people and endanger their health!

  2. Thanks for alerting me to the Kimkins scam. At first, I found your comments on my site (theskinnywebsite) really rude and so I didn’t believe you or a few others. (Note for future: if you are trying to get someone to listen to you, be a bit more polite and nice about it). :) But with the barrage of emails and comments on my Angelina Jolie post, I decided something was up, so I finally sat down to do some research, using the links you guys provided.

And it only took me 15 minutes of reading various sites the other morning to decide to take down my affiliate links on my site. I know people were complaining of getting sick on Kimkins a couple months ago, but honestly - if people get sick on a diet, why are they doing it? It doesn’t make sense to blame the founder.

However, as soon as I found out that Kimmer lied to everyone about her own weight loss, plus started those stupid “celebs on Kimkins” rumors, well, that was enough for me to remove my affiliate links. Yeah, the diet might work, but I will not knowingly promote lies and scams!

Anyway, thanks for the info, and good luck with getting the word out to other affiliates!

  3. FYI… Although WL Tips have not removed their affiliate link yet, Kimmer’s interview has been removed; Amy’s interview has been removed, and Christin’s interview is updated with a warning.

  4. I just checked WLT.com and the link to Kimkins is still there with Christin’s original review with only a couple of paragraphs of her recent rebuttal. It mentions problems she had with the die, there is nothing there about Kimmer being a scam artist.

  5. […] Also, we have an update on the WLTips.com Affiliate Spotlight from last week.  While WLTips.com has removed Kimmer’s fraudulent “success story” and amended Christin’s story, they still have some affiliate links up.  Get in touch by writing to lizza@wltips.com. […]
